About Me
Hi, I'm Laura Osborne, a Creative Director based in Brooklyn.
I have led projects and teams since I landed in New York across Volkswagen, Kraft Heinz, Viator and Children’s Hospital Colorado.
In my time as a CD at Johannes Leonardo, New York: Adweek’s Breakthrough Agency of the Year 2019 and #3 on AdAge Agency A-List 2020. Leading award winning campaigns for Volkswagen and Kraft Heinz.
I’ve been working in advertising since 2009 in London, Palo Alto, San Francisco, LA and New York.
I endeavour to create ideas that are insightful and memorable, even better entertaining, in an ever serious world. And perhaps if it can do these things it can be culture changing.
I believe that going down rabbit holes can breed creativity, and that humbleness, generosity and unrelenting attention to detail, grows the best creative leaders.
During my career as a conceptual Art Director I’ve collaborated with great writers, turned my hand to design, illustration, photography and - for a hot minute - was a VJ in Berlin. I have a Northern ear for bullshit and a Southern eye for quality.
Being half Northern means: I still save pennies, I like copious amounts of gravy on everything and I have the Karl Pilkington trait of being funny, but not always on purpose.
Being half German means: I can take things quite seriously, I sport a moody resting face and I enjoy a dark story. I don't half speak German, but I can half understand it.
Though I mainly wear black, my work is colourful.
